My daughters are currently on summer break. I am planning to do one, fun activity with them every day of their summer break. I will be documenting our various projects together and sharing them here every week and possibly more detailed projects within the week. This is our fourth summer doing this.

On Sunday, day 31, we played the game 5 Second Rule. This game involves coming up with 3 answers to various questions in 5 seconds. A couple of the questions asked in this round included: Name 3 romantic movies, Name 3 TV bosses, Name 3 planets, etc. The game is for those 10 and older. Addy (she's 6) also played and she did very well. We had a good time.
On Monday, day 32, we celebrated the 4th of July. We headed to a BBQ at my parents' house, then we went to a "Freedom Festival" in a city neighbouring ours to watch the fireworks show. It's a really good show. My girls waited in line with my brother-in-law and sister for funnel cakes. They enjoyed day 32. :)
On Tuesday, day 33, my girls went to the library with my mom and saw a cool magic show.
On Wednesday, day 34, I painted my girls' nails in summery, vibrant colors. This was on my summer manifesto.
On Thursday, day 35, my girls played the game Ticket to Ride with my sister Jasmine and brother-in-law Siquem. In this game, "players collect cards of various types of train cars they then use to claim railway routes in North America. The longer the routes, the more points they earn. Additional points come to those who fulfill Destination Tickets- goal cards that connect distant cities; and to the player who builds the longest continuous route" (via). It is a challenging and engaging game. (Jesse and I went out on a date. Weekly date nights are also on my summer manifesto).
On Friday, day 36, we had dinner at the park at sunset and then played red light, green light. (We played several games this week!)
On Saturday, day 37, we went to the drive-in AGAIN. I'm not complaining! :) We watched The Secret Life of Pets (funny!) and The Legend of Tarzan.
I had a great time this week. :)
