summer manifesto 2016

It's officially summer this week! At the beginning of this year I decided I wanted to write manifestos for all seasons this year.

Related: my winter manifesto | my spring manifesto

I mentioned at that time that summer manifestos are easier to put together. I was way right. This list came together in no time. I had to limit what I wanted to put on the list actually! I gathered inspiration from our past summer break activities (2015 | 2014 | 2013). If you need more inspiration, take a look at Tracy's list this year, Tracy's list last year, Elise's list last year, Natalie's list last year, and Natalie's list the year before.

This summer I plan to:
  • Go stargazing
  • Go out for frozen treats every week
  • Finish up the picnic blanket we started
  • Go on a moonlit hike
  • Go on weekly date nights
  • Go to the library every week
  • Bake pies
  • Go to the drive in
  • Go bike riding
  • Plant vegetables
  • Go geocaching
  • Go camping
  • Go to the zoo
  • Toast marshmallows
  • Paint the girls' nails in vibrant colors
  • Watch a movie at the park
  • Play Pictionary
  • Go to the beach
  • Read
  • Eat homemade pizza and watch a movie (I love this activity- I think it makes every list)
  • Have smoothies for breakfast
  • Have a water balloon fight
  • Go night swimming (!!!)
  • Have street tacos
  • Attend VBS
I printed out my list (as you can see) and put it up on my fridge. Just looking at it inspires me to do something fun today. :)
