gender reveal party

This is another special, guest post by my friend (and sister ;) Jasmine. I invited her to share pictures of her gender reveal party! Hey everyone! I am so excited to share our gender reveal celebration with you!
gender reveal party
As my sister mentioned, my husband and I are expecting our first baby in September! We are of course feeling thrilled, emotional, overjoyed, blessed, and terrified all at the same time.

We wanted to celebrate the gender reveal of our first baby with our immediate family and were able to combine our Mother’s Day and our gender reveal celebrations!

My dad, our overworked, underpaid personal florist for all family events, put together these beautiful arrangements for all of mothers to take home as a keepsake.

We enjoyed a BBQ together and played a few guessing games.

As you can see, most of our family guessed we would be having a boy! (On a side note – Instagram husbands have it rough- that is my husband reluctantly acting as a hand model for these two photos *chuckle*).

And no party would be complete without sweet treats!

I make chocolate covered strawberries pretty regularly and decided to decorate these with white chocolate. I added just a few drops of food coloring and voila!

My husband woke up early in the morning to bake cupcakes. I used food coloring to dye the frosting blue and pink and my sister-in law Jenna (who also took some of these photos) was sweet enough to make cake pops, macaroons (my favorite), and Shirley Temple floats.

Our family thought the BBQ was delicious, but kept “joking” that we could really skip to dessert because the gender of our baby would be revealed in the frosting of the cake. Who am I to ignore their wishes?? After fighting against every instinct to not peek into the ultrasound envelope, I was anxious to dive into that cake *drum roll please*.

IT’S A BOY!!!! Even though I consistently said that I had a feeling I was having a boy, nothing could have prepared me for that blue frosting!! I was so overwhelmed and genuinely surprised!! It’s been a month since this reveal and I have finally started to process that I am having a son and I could not be more excited about it.

  1. Loved your article. There are some natural gender selection process mentioned in your article and the briefs are also mentioned. I and my husband were planning on getting pregnant. We were very confused which method to follow but after reading your materials it was quite clear to us.
