Welcome back. :) I took another inadvertent blog break. I'm glad to be back and I'm especially glad that you stick around!
I've started my December Daily 2015 book. It seems like I have a tendency to work on 2 books at one time. Last year I was working on both my summer 2014 book and my December Daily 2014 book. This year I'm working in my memory book for 2015 (I'm currently in September) and my December Daily 2015 book. At least I'm not as behind as last year; I completed my summer 2015 book. That's something, right?? ;)
I really enjoy working on December Daily every year. To quote Ali Edwards, the originator of this project, "December Daily is a December mini-album project that documents the 25 days leading up to Christmas. The simple goal is to capture the spirit of December via one story per day. Over the last seven years this project has become one of the highlights of my year and a beautiful community of memory keepers has come together to share their December stories with one another. It's an awesome way to document and celebrate the season."
This year I am going to organize my book like last year's 2014 book and like the year before that- 2013's book. (In 2012 I used a very mini book- see the setup for that one here). I will be using an 8 1/2x11" kraft binder with gold foil from Target and page protectors with 4- 5 1/2x4" pockets:
I will be using what I have in my stash again this year. I've collected paper in a black, white, kraft, gray, and gold color scheme- using red and green as accent colors.
I've also gathered embellishments, festive rubber and acrylic stamps, and other supplies:
I've collected various papers, stamps, and embellishments that I love over the years. Rather than buy a bunch of new products (believe me, I'm tempted), I'm going to work with what I have. #pennypincher
I'm looking forward to this project as I do every year. I intend to share my progress weekly, so check back soon. :)
