workspace wednesday: things i'm working on*
(from earlier today)
I'm working on reading every day for at least 15 minutes every day (it's one of my major goals for the year). I'm currently reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. It's been on my nightstand (figuratively speaking) for years. The first book I read from Jodi Picoult was Keeping Faith, which was part of an assignment for an Abnormal Psychology class. Other books I've read and liked by Jodi Picoult: Nineteen Minutes, The Tenth Circle, Sing You Home, Handle With Care, Plain Truth, and Picture Perfect. Jodi Picoult often writes complicated, rich stories, which often pose ethical questions. (Right up my alley).
I'm working on focusing on one task at a time. It's both a strength and weakness to multitask as I do. I tend to get overwhelmed thinking about the 1,002 things I need to do. I forget to live in the moment, to enjoy the present. This is a constant battle for me.
I'm working on modifying my daily routines and sticking to them. I find that they're a constant work in progress, and changing with what works for my family and me. I've been sort of frazzled lately and I think it's because I'm trying to do too much with a toddler. Juli's a little busybody and requires my attention. The messes can wait; can't they? ;)

I'm working on "destashing." There's also so much clutter because we have too much stuff. I need to listen to this podcast episode again. (That's one of my favorite podcast episodes ever).
I'm working on "30 Days of Thankful." I've been emailing what I'm thankful for to myself... I'm excited to create the layouts soon. The paper I'm using is so cute. (I'm still planning to add a few kits to my etsy shop). This is such a soul-gratifying exercise. It's not too late to start if you haven't.
