I've reboarded the weight loss train (I like that metaphor, Jasmine), so I've been trying to make healthier choices all around. I've been trying to sneak vegetables into my diet and I've had green smoothies in mind for just that.

My go to green smoothie is this one, which I shared a few months ago. I tend to be pretty hesitant when trying new, green smoothies because I don't like the weird tasting ones (does anybody like the "weird tasting" ones??) The one I'm sharing today is a good recipe.
I slightly modified this recipe from Skinnytaste.com. (I love Gina's website!)
For this smoothie, blend 1 cup of coconut milk, 1 cup of spinach, 1 banana, 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt,1/2 cup of frozen pineapple (or a little more), and 1/8 cup of shredded coconut.
Blend until smooth.
Addy, Juli, I had a smoothie for breakfast this morning. I had this tropical, green smoothie and Addy and Juli had this orange banana smoothie. (I love that one, too). This tropical green smoothie is tasty and filling- just the right thing for breakfast. I made this smoothie last night without the spinach for dessert to compare. It was just as good with the spinach. You can hardly taste the spinach in it. I may branch out to new greens soon... we'll see. Like I said, I don't like the weird tasting green smoothies!
