This is another special, guest post by my friend (and sister ;) Jasmine. I invited her to share her 2015 pocket scrapbook with us. (See her first guest post: 12 Dates // Valentine's Day or Anniversary Gift Idea; her second: 8 1/2 x 11" Pocket Scrapbook Idea; her third: Making Time to Craft; her fourth: Active Living; and her fifth: How to Digitally Crop and Resize Your Photos. Last week she shared her fall wardrobe wishlist).
Hello again! I finally finished my layouts for the month of July! July was such an eventful month, which I think added to the reasons why I procrastinated so long in planning these layouts. Fourth of July, my brother's 21st birthday, beach trips, and other summer activities made this month extra special. The summer months always have a lot going on which is why I love them!
Without further ado, here are my layouts for the month of July.
For this spread, I used two 6-pocket page protectors. I highlighted one of my favorite photos from the Fourth of July that my soon-to-be sister-in-law, Jenna took of us at the Freedom Festival by making it its own page. See my tutorial here if you want a more detailed description on how to prepare full photo pages.
I completed the layout with journaling cards from Me & My Big Ideas- Summer Edition and the Kraft Core Kit.
For my second spread I used a 6-pocket page protector an 8-pocket page protector with journaling cards from Project Life’s Enjoy Kit, the Midnight Core Kit, and the Seafoam Core Kit. I embellished this layout with a stamp from CTMH’s A Little Buzz stamp set, and a “Fun” woodchip from Freckled Fawn.
In these layouts I used journaling cards from, you guessed it, The Midnight Core Kit. It’s my favorite to pull from! I love all of the black and white and how it seamlessly coordinates with all of my photos and my embellishments. I also used journaling cards from We R Memory Keepers- Dreamy Edition, Simple Stories, and the Seafoam Core Kit. I enjoyed reliving the moments of spontaneously deciding to go mini golfing mid-week and deciding on a whim to attend the Special Olympics opening ceremony. Michelle Obama had the closing remarks for the ceremony! Definitely something I want to remember forever.
The last week of July was so eventful, I had to use four layouts to capture it all. My brother, Joshua turned 21 and his fiancé, Jenna planned the *cutest* party for him. Jenna made the wood chip of the Batman symbol that I just had to include for this layout! For the layout on the right I used journaling cards from The Midnight Core Kit and a “hello” word chip from Freckled Fawn.
For my last spread I used a journaling card from We R Memory Keepers- Dreamy Edition, and that’s it. I wanted to let the photos speak for themselves for this beach trip. Don’t they just scream: “summer”? I embellished with a geotag from an Ali Edwards' stamp and viola! There you have it. The month of July. Thank you for reading along!
Thank you Jasmine! I love the full page picture! :)
