This is another special, guest post by my friend (and sister ;) Jasmine. I invited her to share her 2015 pocket scrapbook with us. If you've been keeping up with her weekly series, she had this post ready last week, but I wasn't able to publish it until this week. Sorry about that! (See her first guest post: 12 Dates // Valentine's Day or Anniversary Gift Idea; her second: 8 1/2 x 11" Pocket Scrapbook Idea; her third: Making Time to Craft; her fourth: Active Living; and her fifth: How to Digitally Crop and Resize Your Photos).
Hello again! This week I will be sharing my June spreads with you.
For this first layout I used an 8-pocket page protector. What’s really nice about the 8-pocket page protector is that you can take square photos right from Instagram, print them, place them in the pockets, and have just the right amount of space to journal. I did that for three of the pockets for this layout. I used journaling cards from We R Memory Keepers- Simply Happy Collection, Me & My Big Ideas- Wedding Edition, A Beautiful Mess’ Ledger Journaling Cards, and Project Life’s Midnight Edition. I embellished with a movie ticket ;) and a stamp from the Classic set by Ali Edwards.
For my second spread, I used an 8-pocket page protector and a 3-pocket page protector. I like to use the 3-pocket page protector when I really want to highlight my photos. The benefit to the 3-pocket page protector is that you can print out a 4x6" photo, which is rare with an 8.5x11" sized album. I pulled journaling cards from the Midnight Core kit, Seafoam Core Kits, Sunshine Core Kit, and Project Life’s Home Themed Cards. I embellished with a “Breathe” badge from A Flair for Buttons, a stamp from Ali Edwards' Life Circles Stamp set, and an “Inspire” Tim Holtz’s Philosophy Tag. Lastly, I added some stickers from Me & My Big Ideas- Enjoy the Little Things.
For my third and final spread, I used a 3-pocket page protector and a 6-pocket page protector. I, again, took photos straight from Instagram (these photos were a little bigger though) and included them in the layout to the left. The heart journaling card is from Project Life’s Home Themed Cards, which was also on the previous layout. Sometimes when I love both sides of a journaling card I make sure to it is visible from the front and the back of the page. I also used journaling cards from the Midnight Core Kit, We R Memory Keepers- Simply Happy Collection, and Me & My Big Ideas- Here and Now Edition. I embellished this layout with Clear Stickers (white) from Me & My Big Ideas. So easy.
The fall quarter is about to begin at the university where I work so it’s nice to relive the summer activities with these layouts. Pool parties? Ice cream sundaes? Sign me up for next summer ;)
Thank you Jasmine! The custom, cartoon portraits of you and Oscar are the cutest EVER!
Keep up with Jasmine on Instagram. :)
