summer break diary 2015: week #9
**My daughters are currently on summer break. Like last year and the year before, we are planning to do one, fun activity with them every day of their break.
(See 2015's summer break activities so far here. See 2014's summer break activities here and 2013's summer break activities here).
I will be documenting our various projects together and sharing them here on Mondays (typically) and possibly more detailed projects within the week. Read more about how this project got started here.**
This was the last full week of summer break. Cue sad music.
On Sunday (day 58) we celebrated my brother Jonathan's birthday with a small, dinner party. (We have a big family, so it feels like we're always celebrating somebody's birthday. ;)
On Monday (day 59) we played the game Toss Up together. I hadn't played that in years!
On Tuesday (day 60) my mom took them to her house for crocheting, embroidery, and dinner.
On Wednesday (day 61) my sister Jasmine bought my girls new backpacks for school. (!!!)
On Thursday (day 62) we went to a tea party. My girls hadn't been to a tea party before. I said "cute" like 102 times when I was there, but it was all so... cute! :)
On Friday (day 63) my mom took my girls shopping for clothes in the morning. In the afternoon they went on a playdate. They loved that!
On Saturday (day 64) we were all sick with a stomach bug. :( We didn't have the energy for anything fun. (Crummy way to end the week!)
These are my layouts for this week:
I went very simple this week- more focus on the pictures, stamped the dates, and journaled a bit. Did I mention I'm sick? ;) Don't forget about yesterday's giveaway! Sign up here.
Supplies and embellishments:
binder from Target; these 4-pocket page protectors; black ink from Close To My Heart; Seafoam core cards; Pilot razor point black pen; We R Memory Keepers' pocket cards (picked up at Target a few years ago); Dear Lizzy roller date stamp; ABM alphabet stickers; cloud washi tape from Freckled Fawn
To note: some of my supplies and embellishments are old and likely retired and/or I don't remember where I got them from, but if I missed something, ask in the comments and I will do my best with figuring out the source. I respond to most comments and questions within the comments section.
