That's why I didn't blog yesterday. I woke up feeling much better today!

I
We had a couple of days left of summer break before school started. I'm already looking forward to summer break 2016! ;)
On Sunday (day 65) and Monday (day 66) we were still fighting off that nasty bug from Saturday. Monday night we felt well enough to to celebrate national s'mores day after dinner.
On Tuesday (day 67) we took Lani shopping for sandals. My other girls stayed home and watched a movie with my sister and brother-in-law. School shopping and movie watching are always hits around here.
On Wednesday (day 68), the last day of summer break, we went out for dinner (Subway) and ice cream. My girls were thrilled about having two scoops of ice cream. (They couldn't handle all that ice cream though. lol).
These are my layouts for this week:

That monster on the flair badge perfectly encapsulates my feelings this week (what with being sick and school starting).

But my girls l.o.v.e. school. I can't pretend not to feel blessed by that. Good schools and good teachers are tremendous blessings. Evie brought a "My Summer Vacation" worksheet home after school this week. It was really neat reading what she remembered from our summer break together. I scoured the internet for that worksheet and printed 3 for my book. I am going to have Lani and Addy fill one out without looking at pictures of what we did. I want to know what from our break stands out. :)

So that third layout is incomplete until this evening.
