I've been having this smoothie for breakfast every day this week. A few weeks ago, I wanted a really good strawberry banana smoothie. I thought, "Who'd have a good smoothie recipe?? ... I know... Ina Garten!" (She's another person I go to when I'm looking to better my meals and snacks. I blogged about this last week. See here). I also wanted something light for breakfast this week. My appetite hasn't been the same since my cold last week. (Don't feel bad for me because "mono was, like, the best diet ever." Name that movie).
Anyway, I wanted to include protein in my smoothie to keep me satisfied... you know what my go to protein source is by now... Greek yogurt! (See Ina Garten's original recipe here).
For this smoothie, blend all of the following until smooth: 1 cup of orange juice, 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt, 1/2 to 1 cup of frozen strawberries, and 1 banana.
This smoothie is the right combination of sweet and tart. It's super refreshing- perfect for breakfast. I love it! Let me know if you try it!
