**My daughters are currently on summer break. Like last year and the year before, we are planning to do one, fun activity with them every day of their summer break.
(See 2015's summer break activities so far here. See 2014's summer break activities here and 2013's summer break activities here).
I will be documenting our various projects together and sharing them here on Mondays (typically) and possibly more detailed projects within the week. Read more about how this project got started here.**
We celebrated Father's Day at the beginning of week 3 (Sunday, day 16). Jesse requested burritos for breakfast. My girls got up extra early, cleaned our house (what?!!), and got started with breakfast by pulling out all that we would need. I helped them prepare it. It was very sweet. That evening we went to watch Inside Out (LOVE!). Then we headed to my parents' house for dinner. It was perfect. For the rest of the week (Monday through Saturday- day 17 through day 22) our girls attended VBS at our church. They had dinner, played outdoor games, listened to stories, and crafted. They liked it very much. Tuesday they went to the library with my mom (as they do every week) and Friday we took them out for banana splits (yeah, we did!). It was an excellent week.
Jesse took the pictures this week. I had to choose from a bazillion (lol). I love that he took so many pictures of our girls.
These are my layouts for this week:
Supplies and embellishments:
binder from Target; these 4-pocket page protectors; Project Life grid cards; Heidi Grace "Cheerful Bee" paper and rub-ons (discontinued); A Little Buzz stamp set and black ink from Close To My Heart; Me & My Big Ideas stickers; Heidi Swapp roller date stamp; Freckled Fawn emoticon wood chips; Pilot razor point black pen; Jenni Bowlin labels; Martha Stewart office labels
To note: some of my supplies and embellishments are old and likely retired and/or I don't remember where I got them from, but if I missed something, ask in the comments and I will do my best with figuring out the source. I respond to most comments and questions within the comments section.
