I've been having this green smoothie for breakfast lately. It all started when I said to myself, "Self, you're not having enough greens." I also said, "Self, 'it's the green, it's the green, it's the green you need. And when I look into your future, it's the green that I see.'" [Name that movie.] I honestly sing this part of the song almost every time I make a green smoothie. Old is not what it's getting. ;)
I don't typically make the smoothie with Greek yogurt, but decided I needed to include protein in my smoothie if I'm having it for breakfast!
For this smoothie, blend 1 banana (frozen if you'd like), 1 cup of milk (I use light, soy milk), 1/2 cup of vanilla, Greek yogurt, and a big handful of spinach. Blend until smooth.
Some say they can taste the spinach in the smoothie, but I can't.
I really like it and am always very happy to sneak some greens into my diet.
