We hung red, black, and white lanterns (see here); added a focal wall using coordinating black, red, and Minnie Mouse patterned paper; had my dad arrange a couple bouquets of red and white roses (he used to be a florist); had Oscar draw a portrait of Mickey and Minnie; made a donut cake using several red and black frosted donuts; and decorated some plastic cups with Mickey Mouse silhouettes.

A few, simple details can really add to a celebration.

We had breakfast for dinner as Jasmine wanted. Jasmine's husband Oscar bought this Mickey Mouse waffle maker. (So cute). We had your typical breakfast: waffles, scrambled eggs, links, tater tots, French toast kabobs, fruit, and orange juice. (Jasmine shared a picture on Instagram here).
Afterwards, we watched a family favorite Mrs. Doubtfire. Jennifer made these sour candy bags as party favors for us to enjoy during the movie. The entire party was mostly Jennifer's idea with Oscar and me helping here and there. ;)

It was fun (and cute. :)
