I randomly got a craving for a pretzel-crusted dessert the other day (not pregnant. ;) I thought to search for desserts with both Greek yogurt and pretzels. I came across this pin, in which the caption said "I think I may try it with Greek yogurt instead of sour cream." Good idea! The pin was for this cool lime pretzel squares recipe on Kraft's site.
To make this dessert, preheat your oven to 350*. Mix 2 c of finely crushed pretzels, 1/2 c of butter, and 1/4 c of sugar. Press to the bottom of a 13x9" dish. Bake for 10 minutes and allow it to cool. Add 1 cup of boiling water to lime gelatin (6 oz.) until the gelatin dissolves. Blend 14 oz. of sweetened, condensed milk and 1 cup of Greek yogurt. Add gelatin and blend well. Finally pour the mixture over the crust slowly. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until it's firm. Finally, garnish with whipped cream.
Jesse, who doesn't like any yogurt, really liked this recipe. I thought it was really good, as well. I did think the pretzels were slightly too salty, which is weird coming from me- I tend to like salty foods. Overall though, it was a good one. I'll be repeating this dessert with other jello flavors and possibly other crusts.
