A few weeks ago, I shared a link to an article about 50 low-cost hobbies. Click here to read it. One of the hobbies included gardening. This is a hobby that my family and I enjoy very much. Last year we started our garden with mini cereal box seed starters. See that here. That was super fun! This year we decided to make raised, garden beds. Well, I have ideas and Jesse executes them. That's how things go around here. ;)

First he made the beds using wood, nails, a saw, and things I know nothing about...

Then he lined the beds with an underlay (landscape fabric). *Shrugs.*

Then he filled the beds with soil.

This past weekend we finally got around to planting corn, squash, and zucchini in one bed.

The other bed is our "salsa garden." We planted a variety of chiles, tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and spinach in the back. (We won't be using spinach in our salsas, but that's where we put them).

I'm so excited to watch our garden grow this summer!
