five on friday // a springtime paper bag scrapbook album

After making the paper bag album earlier this week (see here), I've been thinking about paper bag albums. This is an album I made a few years ago. I had shared it here, but I accidentally put it back in my drafts when I was editing a few months ago. I made it for a swap.

I think we may have to make a paper bag album this summer with my girls as a fun, summer break activity (mostly to keep me entertained. ;) See 2014's summer break activities week by week here.

See more of my paper bag albums here. If you're interested in making your own paper bag albums, I have tutorials here and here.

I'm here to share 5 links I came across this week!

1. I'm all about goal-setting and achieving those goals. This article is helpful: 8 Creative Ways To Motivate Yourself To Reach Goals by Francesca Marinaro. I am essentially using the grown up version of tip #4, a sticker chart, with Elise's daily goal tracker. This is my favorite takeaway from the article: "[Shift] your focus from possibility to actuality."

2. I've read 9 of the books on this list: 25 Incredible Novels You Must Read At Least Once In Your Life. I'd like to read them all.

3. Laura Gummerman shared her 60’s Cocktail Party for her birthday. How cute are the dresses and her hair?! (Very).

4. I first came across Jessica Turner on Elise Gets Crafty. There they discussed her book The Fringe Hours, which I gather is a book about making pockets of time for ourselves throughout the day and the benefits that come from doing that. I remembered that I wanted to pick up her book after seeing her recent collaboration with Studio Calico this week (free journaling cards are always good. :)

5. I came across a blog I love this week: Just Dawnelle. I saw a picture Dawnelle shared on Instagram (this one), started following her there, and am now following her blog. She shared layouts of her Selfie Scrapbook this week here. So cool!

See more Five on Friday posts here.

Hope you have a good one!
