december daily 2014: week #2

december daily 2014: week no. 2
Here we go. Week 2. Look at me- keeping up. I should have pressured myself to post once a week for my summer book. I might've been caught up if I had. Ah well. There's always next year. ;)

The second week of December included days 7 through 13. This is day 7, which is included on a layout I shared last week:

First things first, sorry for the glare in these pictures! I moved next to a window because it's gloomy here where I live (we need the rain, so it's okay). I thought that would help get better pictures, but maybe it didn't. Second things second, remember I had forgotten to print the picture for day 6? Elf and doughnuts? Ringing any bells? ;) Anyway, there it is.

Moving on. On day 7 Jesse helped Lani build a base-isolated building for her science class (I had to look it up, too). Jesse had too much fun with it. I will be sharing a picture and her grade in the book when she gets it back from her teacher. Anyway, they spent all day working on it. I shared a picture Jesse took of them at Home Depot the other day. (He took them while I went to a Zumba class. ;) The picture quality isn't the best, but oh well. It's the memory that counts.

These are days 8 and 9 on the left side of the layout:

On day 8 we made up for 2 days of advent activities because day 7 was spent building a base-isolated building. We made cream cheese swirl zucchini bread (delicious) and began working on pet shop pockets. (I'll be sharing more details about that soon).
On day 9 Jesse, my sisters, brother-in-law, and I went to a Christmas concert. It was beautiful. The girls spent the evening with grandma (my mom) and worked on a secret Christmas project.

These are days 10 and 11 on the right side of the layout:

On day 10 we went to Evie's Christmas concert at school. I love her everyday sass. Glad I captured it here.
On day 11 we had a long, busy day. We had festive, Little Debbie's Christmas tree shaped red velvet cakes for dessert. I included the cheesy, but festive packaging in my book. ;)

This is day 12 on the left side of the layout:

On day 12 I went to another concert only with my sisters this time. My sister Jasmine took that randomly blurry picture of the concert (I love randomly blurry pictures).
Week 2
This is day 13 on the right side of the layout:

On day 13 Jesse took Lani to a veteran's tribute event. She helped serve lunch. (She's in an awesome club at school. They volunteer at various community service events). Later in the day, he took her and her sisters to a special children's church service. (I was party prepping for my soon to be sister-in-law's birthday celebration the next day). Again, the pictures aren't the best quality (Jesse should ask Santa for a phone upgrade this Christmas). It's the memory that counts I keep sayin'. ;)

Yay to keeping up!
