the return of muffin tin monday

It's been a while since I've made a Muffin Tin Monday meal for my girls. I was really into it for a while, but my girls didn't seem to be as excited about it as I was, so I stopped. Recently though, Lani asked, "Why don't we do Muffin Tin Monday anymore?? Can we do it today?" Just 'cause they don't applaud my efforts (I'd like a standing ovation, please), doesn't mean they don't like 'em.
So I'm thinking I'll bring back this fun, weekly feature to my home, and share some ideas here from time to time (if not weekly).

Maybe you have no idea what I'm talking about. "Muffin tin what??" (Or maybe it's self-explanatory. ;) Muffin tin meals are meals, ahem, in a muffin tin. Are you writing this down? "Hold on, professor."* Anyway, the idea is to give children smaller food portions in a fun way. Michelle at Muffin Tin Mom used to host a weekly link up, but she doesn't anymore. The internet is full of muffin tin meal ideas though if you're looking for some.

*Have you seen this funny UPS comedy skit?

Some time ago I shared this "oatmeal your way" muffin tin meal for my girls.
Muffin Tin Monday Oatmeal
For this meal I made oatmeal, put it in one cup, then put several toppings in the other cups: nuts, vanilla yogurt, strawberries/blackberries, brown sugar, and bananas:

As the weather cools, oatmeal is the kind of breakfast you want, which is why I thought I'd reshare this idea.

You're welcome. ;)
