Biscuits and gravy is a no-go side breakfast food for me at a restaurant. Like, it's too good. Fruit on the side? Definitely. Hashbrowns? Occasionally. Biscuits and gravy? Never. How many calories is that?! Also, I would lick the plate in clean in public, and that would be embarrassing. I got to really wanting some biscuits and gravy the other day though. It all started when I came across BLT sandwiches made with biscuits in the book "Fun Stuff Silly Snacks." I made it for dinner one day a few weeks ago. It was d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s. My girls really liked it, too.

Anyway, that sandwich got me thinking, "Self, why aren't biscuits a regular around here??" As I was putting the menu together for dinner one week, I got to our "breakfast for dinner" night (we like to have breakfast for dinner about once a week), and because I've had biscuits on my mind, I thought about biscuits and gravy. I was looking for a a recipe online when I came across this sausage and gravy biscuit (sandwich!) recipe. I was extra excited because I could share it for my 52 sandwiches project. I was also excited to satisfy my biscuits and gravy craving with a lighter version.

For this sandwich, I did not make biscuits from scratch this time. I used the Pillsbury kind. I split the biscuit after it baked and added warm turkey gravy (also store-bought). Then, I added a turkey sausage patty. That I home made. Just kidding- I bought that, too.
That's it! The easiest recipe evvver- yeah, everything was store-bought, but who cares?? ;)
Have it with peaches or a raspberry smoothie like I did for some good eating.
