As quick as a wink the end of September is here. Like most months, this month was busy. Sometimes too busy. Sometimes just right. For example, it was just right when I headed to the library and worked on my summer project life book getting some time to myself this month.
My book is far from complete, but it's getting there. Hope nobody minds me sharing it mid October (or later!).
This month I added two sandwiches to my 52 sandwiches project:
#44: torta de rajas
#45: breakfast turkey sausage, peppers, + onion
Also this month, we celebrated Lani's 11th birthday and Juli's 1st birthday. (More pictures of that to come).
September is a special month for me because it is the month I became a mother 11 years ago. On Lani's birthday, I tried to remember what I was doing exactly 11 years ago throughout the day. (I tend to do this on all birthdays). For example, "At this time, 11 years ago, my water broke, and I had no idea what I was in for." Ha. I'm actually working on a post about motherhood and my thoughts. It's a difficult post to write. Hopefully my brain cells can come together and I can write a coherent post about it. ;)
As far as my goals for September, this is how I did with them:
I incorporated Jillian Michael's DVD workouts a few times a week this month. I had hit a plateau with my workouts and wasn't seeing the changes I wanted to see with my body. (I discussed my 10 weight loss tips which includes changing up your workout here). I plan to do another challenge in October.
I made a pumpkin smoothie this month, but I have big plans for using pumpkin in the kitchen soon.
I did. Somewhat. I'm being more mindful of this because I'm not as frazzled when I have time to myself.
★Complete my summer Project Life book
I mentioned that it's far from complete, but definitely working on it.
We picnicked this past weekend at the lake. It was nice.
Tomorrow I'll be posting my goals for October. See my monthly goals from this year here. See this year's monthly recaps here.
