We were ready to see the eye candy in person.

It didn't disappoint. I love how colorful it is! Our main objective was to relax. We went swimming, lounged by the pool (I did anyway), hung out in the hotel room, watched a few movies together, and ate good food. We had burgers from In n Out, which isn't specific to Palm Springs, but always good. We went to Lulu's bistro. We looked for a kid friendly place, and it totally was. The waiter and host were very nice. The host brought us a complimentary slice of chocolate cake to take with us to try later. The Saguaro's restaurant Tinto was closed for renovations unfortunately, but we went to El Jefe and had their tacos, which were very good. I really liked the chicken tacos. It's not kid friendly being a bar, but luckily Palm Springs is close enough that my sisters and brother in law watched our kids one evening so Jesse and I could enjoy a quiet dinner together. They had pizza.

We enjoyed ourselves. I'd like to check out The Ace hotel at some point. There's one in LA, too. Maybe I'll finally get out of the desert and into the city.
P.S. If this wasn't enough pictures for you, I shared more pictures when I recapped week 10 of our summer break here.
