I came across a recipe for this burger at Gina's Skinnytaste.com. What sold me was the buffalo sauce, cheddar cheese, and blue cheese dressing. My tongue does a happy dance for those flavors. Also, I'm all about sneaking in more vegetables (read more here), and this burger does just that with the grated vegetables in the patty and the tasty broccoli slaw.
As Gina instructs in her recipe, I combined the broccoli slaw and light blue cheese dressing (all store-bought) and set it aside. To make the turkey patty, I combined the ground turkey, grated carrots, grated garlic, grated red onion, breadcrumbs, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. I formed my patty and then I grilled it until it was thoroughly cooked. I layered the cheddar cheese and broccoli slaw on top, and added them to my sesame seed roll.
This burger was on point. It's so on point, I think I have to add it to our dinner menu again soon!
