sandwich #28: turkey salad | cheese & jalapeño sub

A few Saturdays ago, my sister Jasmine and brother-in-law Oscar asked to take our girls to the lake in our city to feed the ducks there. (Juli stayed with us). They said they would be picnicking with our girls at the lake, so Jesse and I were considering our romantic lunch options. ;) We wanted something quick and delicious (and I always add healthy as a criterion, but Jesse doesn't always think that's a top priority. ;) We considered several fast-food chains, but ultimately decided our grocery store's deli would be good (hopefully healthier?).sandwich #28: turkey salad | cheese & jalapeño sub
My mom introduced me to these cheese and jalapeño sub rolls when she and I grabbed a quick lunch years ago. They're delicious!
For this sandwich, I put turkey salad from the deli on one side of the bread. In the picture, I put the ingredients listed on the container in case you want to replicate the recipe (I probably will, too!). I put chipotle white cheddar cheese slices on the other side of the bread. I put them open-faced in my toaster oven for about 10 minutes.

This is another winner!
