five on friday

Happy Friday. *Insert Fridays are not my favorite day of the week joke here.* ;)

Are you ready for the weekend? I am! I am looking forward to extra sleep. It's also my mom's birthday this weekend. Happy birthday, mom!

Here's my five for this week:
1. I realized this week that I've been blogging for 5 years. Yesterday, in fact, marked 5 years to the day. I've published over 500 posts. I'm putting 5 kits together for a giveaway (some of what's going in the kit is pictured). When I had reached the 1 year mark, I gave away this kit. When I had reached the 3 year mark I gave away these 3 kits.  Now at the 5 year mark I am giving away 5 kits. I seem to unintentionally be celebrating odd numbered years. ha.

2. I saw this on Pinterest, which seems to have originated here. It's inspiration by Marc Hack: "Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room."

3. Houseplants. I can't stop talking about them. ;) I'm determined to fill our home with plants and plant art. I love this painting.

4. Random, but practical: Jennifer's Clean House Challenge. I'm enjoying her series.

5. Super excited (to dorky levels) that this movie was released on DVD/Blu-ray this weekend. We're watching it tomorrow night. (I didn't read the books first. *hanging head in shame*).

I hope you have a top-notch weekend! :)
