I have been working on my December Daily. I am already behind, but am not too worried as I have a basic system that will it easy to catch up. I've been journaling the days' events every day and haven't been burdening myself to take pictures in bad evening lighting... I can take make up pictures in better lighting. It's not a big deal. I am making it work by being flexible.
I am enjoying the advent activities so much this year. I mentioned that last year I put little presents and treats in the bags for each of my daughters, which was fun, but this year I made little cards with various, festive activities my family could do together. This week we went to the library and picked up Christmas books. We read them together the next night for another activity. We made reindeer food another night. It has been fun. (Confession: I have a list of things for us to do, which are not written on the cards already. Every day I write an activity from that list that will work that day. I slip the card in the advent calendar before they notice. I think my oldest is on to me though).
I had seen a list of bible verses to read every day until Christmas on Pinterest. I had started to read them to my kids before I realized they might be too theologically profound for them right now. I was so happy to find this printable of age appropriate verses yesterday. I printed them and am in the middle of cutting them out. I will read what we've missed so far tonight.
So that's what I'm up to. How about you?
