I was excited when I saw
this sandwich recipe on Pinterest. This recipe calls for a jalapeño popper filling. I love jalapeño poppers, but stay away from their deep-fried deliciousness because they're not figure friendly. With this sandwich I can get some of that yummy flavor in a healthier way.

For this sandwich, I made the jalapeño popper filling, which is all of the following combined: diced jalapeño, cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, granulated garlic, cumin, and salt. (As you can tell by now, I'm not big on measuring. I've included
the recipe for this one though if you need the measurements). I spread the jalapeño popper filling on whole wheat sandwich thins. I opted for bread with less calories to balance out the high-caloric cream cheese. I arranged my sandwich with the spread, a slice of reduced fat cheddar cheese, and a few strips of turkey bacon.
Seriously? This decadent sandwich is high on my list of favorites. Let me know if you try it!
