what life looks like

rain
I am scrambling to get into a routine with Juli. I don't remember where, but I read that the dynamic of a family changes when a member comes in (ie. a new baby) or leaves (ie. goes to college). Because I was aware of this, I aimed to appreciate how things were before Juli was born and now that she is here. I am constantly observing my family's dynamic now (I psychoanalyze everything) and I love how there's something to appreciate in each other every day. We are tightly knit.

We are adjusting to this new, little member of our family. She is a tremendous amount of joy and work all at the same time. :)

This weekend I spent my time rocking Juli, reading to my girls, sleeping in later than usual, catching up with extended family, reading a new book, cooking, sorting through laundry, nursing Juli, working on Project Life, eating Italian food, holding hands, listening to the rain, watching family movies, enjoying my family.

  2. As you adjust to the new little bundle, I am still adjusting to our oldest going away to college. Our family dynamic is different, but she just arrived home for the Thanksgiving holiday. So excited. Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving.

    1. Sheila,
I can imagine it is hard to watch your daughter go. The thought makes me sad! At the same time, you must be so proud of her! She is headed on a good path. I hope you enjoy your time together at Thanksgiving. :)
