august goals

Happy August!  I am feeling ambitious for this month.  I think I'm probably in nesting mode.  My little one is due in early September, and I am sure the energy won't be as high as it is now come mid September.  ;)

This month, I hope to successfully complete my one, true important goal for summer and that is to have my girls have a fun activity every day of their summer break.  When I mentioned that summer break is coming to an end, Evie said, "Already?!"  I think I've been keeping them busy enough that they aren't too bored.  :)
I am hoping to continue being active this pregnancy.  I've gained quite a bit, which is to be expected.  I try not to get down on myself about it too much.  I've made much healthier choices this pregnancy, so I can't be too hard on myself despite what the scale tells me.  I know that I'm supposed to be gaining right now, but still.  The number isn't pretty.
That said, I have been consistently keeping a food journal, and this is no time to give it up.  In fact, I hope to be even better about keeping track of my meals and getting enough from the food groups.  My little one needs her vitamins.  :)
She also needs her own space!  I am going to be cleaning out the rest of what used to be the craft room this month and moving the playroom in there.  My craft space has mostly been moved to the dining area.  There's a peek of it here.  That's all the space I really need.  The current playroom will be the nursery.  I've been wanting to do that, and now it is crunch time.
With all of that craziness planned, I still hope to craft, work on my 52 sandwiches project, try new recipes, read, and blog.  It can happen, right?  ;)

  1. Good luck with your August goals. I know the girls love the special times you have planned for them. Hard to believe that summer is coming to an end. My granddaughters go back to school on Wednesday. I will them begin Mema's taxi service each afternoon until that adjust to their new school.
