summer break week #1

I am planning to do one, fun activity a day (Monday through Friday) with my daughters for summer break.  I've done this for a few years now- inspired by Nikki at Whimsy Love.  I love looking through her summer diaries for inspiration.  (2010, 2011, 2012, & currently).

On day 1, I had my kids write down some things they wanted to do this year in a cute, little journal.  I was surprised by some of their choices, and am happy to incorporate them into our daily activities.  On day 2, grandma invited them over to her house to knit and cook.  They had a really good time.  On day 3, I took them to the library to pick up some books.  (That was on their list of to-do's).  We are excited that the summer reading program will be starting soon, too.  On day 4, we made these cute monster, corner book marks. bookmarks
I got the idea from Nikki, who linked to this tutorial.  On day 5 (today), we made this paper city also inspired by Nikki.    The girls really enjoyed this project.  I'll admit I wanted to make my own paper city.

I am looking forward to documenting this week in Project Life!  I'll have to share some layouts when I complete them.
Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you enjoy your weekend.
