This year I thought about the hungry, little people that would be waiting for dinner to be served. I printed out a few activity sheets and coloring sheets for them. I also made little turkeys out of apples for them. I got the idea from Elizabeth at Dear Lizzy. Instead of using felt for the turkey faces like she did, I used edible items I had on hand instead. The idea of these turkeys is that kids can add "feathers" using toothpicks and some finger foods- I used cheese cubes, grapes, and marshmallows.
Earlier in the week, I made the sandwich turkeys above for my girls. I was inspired by this picture.

Be back soon!
Yum, everything looks delish! I'm going to have to pin that turkey for next year. Looks like you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteThe turkeys were so fun for the kids! I will definitely be doing this again next year. :)
