my weight loss toolbox

I am going to talk about my weight loss project a little bit today, and much more in the weeks to come.  I did ramble about this a few months ago.

At this point in my life, I need to lose weight. These are not vanity pounds I need to lose- I am overweight.  Since I faithfully started this project in June of  2010, I have lost 35 pounds and have about 10 more to lose to be within a healthy BMI range for my height.  I am on a mission to lose the rest of the weight and then maintain a healthy lifestyle.  These are the steps I am making steps towards a healthier lifestyle:

Being active:
Activity

Eating well and eating smaller portions:
January Goals: Track my meals more faithfully and try a Weight Watchers' recipe
I plan to embellish on these topics more.  I plan to discuss my activity within the next few days.

I am throwing this post out there because I plan to refer to it often when I post recipes or find an activity I like that I would like to share.  Some days I might just ramble about this and I need a sounding board.

This is an evolving project.

Please do share tips to a healthier you, favorite snacks, recipes, and activities.  I'd love to hear them.

  1. Great job on the weight loss girl! The final pounds are always the worst, aren't they? I need to get back into an exercise regimen....fighting the blues & lack of exercise has landed 30 lbs back on me {which is the pits after losing 80 lbs 3 years ago - sigh}

Maybe you can inspire me with your motivation!

  2. I'm eating smaller portions
however, my physical activity isn't enough to help in the weight loss.

I'm very nearly at my BMI, however as Jen sez, those final pounds are vexing!

I've lost 20% of my body weight and it looks it.

Health-wise it's silly for me to have carried these extra pounds [re-gained] for the past 3 years. Now I'm back on track, except for the exercising.

    CONGRATS, COMPLETELY Jessica!!!!!!!!
and Jen get that 30 pounds off, I know you'll love yourself for it.

  4. Eat things that look like they just came from the farm or field - the more natural it is, the healthier it is for you and the faster you will lose the stomach weight fast. Thanks a lot.
