muffin tin monday

I'm posting pics of our Muffin Tin Monday lunch today. We had a cheese, lettuce, and tomato sandwich; pickles; cherries; apple slices; and juice. My 6 year old and 4 year old love Muffin Tin Monday.

In other news, I am being better about losing some pesky pounds. I have been having a smoothie for breakfast regularly. I use Alton Brown's Buff Smoothie recipe (I add plain frozen yogurt, as well). In one episode of Alton Brown's Good Eats, he talked about the benefits of eating fruits/vegetables that are purple like grapes, blueberries, acai berries, etc. Besides being rich in antioxidants, they are also good at removing excess matter from one's body.
I use acai juice in my smoothie.
I've also been itching to buy Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. I am an avid reader of Bye Bye, Pie, and she is motivating her readers to accompany her in working out using the video. Also, look at this post, too.

I'm heading to Target today and looking for the video.
