pretty pockets swap **closed**

I've been thinking about this swap for some time now, and I'm excited to finally be presenting it to you. :) I've made a few of these pocket organizers before, and I need an excuse to make more.
See pocket organizers I've made here.

The idea of the swap is to make a pretty pocket organizer and fill it with things your partner will love...

Here are the rules:

1. Sign up for the swap by sending me an email {Jessrodarte(at)verizon(dot)net} by May 3rd or until we reach a maximum of 50 participants.
In your email, please include the following: your name, mailing address, email address, blog or Flickr address (you must have one of either to join), and a list of your likes/dislikes (please be thorough! It's easier to to put a package together when there is an extensive list of likes).

2. The first step is to make a pocket organizer in a patterned fabric your partner will like. Each organizer must have at least 3 pockets. You are encouraged to sew, but if you have another creative way of putting them together, you are welcome to do that, as well. The size of the organizer is up to you, but no smaller than 8 1/2" by 11".

Need ideas? Look at these pretty pockets Heather (at Pretty Petals) made and kindly allowed me to share with you. Heather also passed along a valuable tip. She says that using linen fabric is an easier way to sew these pockets together especially if you're a novice sewer.

3. Once you make the organizer, you will fill the pockets with pretty things- they can be vintage or not depending on what your partner likes, but make sure you know what your partner likes!

Ideas for your organizers include: pretty papers, buttons (a personal favorite), ribbons/lace, charms, tags, fabric, flowers/millinery, handmade delights, etc.

You may want to stick with a theme if your partner says she likes something in particular. Themed packages are always so pretty.
Please don't include things to destash/declutter your crafty space. This is not that kind of swap.

4. Spend no more than $20. Handmade is a wonderful alternative to spending though. Send your pretty pockets to your partners no later than May 31th.

Once you've completed your packages, don't forget to take pictures and post them on the Pretty Pockets Swap Flickr group.

Sound easy enough? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

PS. Feel free to use the button on your blog!

One more thing, I am accepting international swappers, but to keep the shipping costs low, I will be pairing up international swappers with each other.
