When I came across my first paper bag album a few years ago, I really wanted to make one, and I couldn't find a tutorial, so I hope this is helpful. You may need to blow up the picture to see the itty bitty words. I thought it would be easier to have a a picture with the directions.

I hope it is helpful.

ReplyDeleteWow! Great Tutorial! The binding is so simple, I will try to do it Today, Thank you for Sharing this with Us, Blanca.
ReplyDeleteLove it, this was a great tute! I make them too, but I've never used that technique to bind them. I've been doing the punch a hole and tie with ribbons or big brads. I like the clean look of this one, and I'll be trying it out very soon. Thanks!

Hi, I know this is an old post. Do you know what the paper design is called?
ReplyDeletePretty Shabby UK,
ReplyDeleteIt was called Silhouette by Close to My Heart. Hope that helps!
Hi Jessica, I know this is an old post, so hopefully you will see this. I am new to scrapbooking etc, just wondering why you would use paper bags instead of normal paper? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly,
DeletePaper bags are a fun, unique, versatile base for albums. There are many base options for albums- chipboard, cardstock, acrylic, normal paper- to name a few. Paper bags are one, inexpensive way. I especially like the inexpensive part. :)
Hope that helps!
It very much does =) thanks heaps for the response! I am going to try this method to display some wedding photos for a bride of the year competition here in New Zealand. Wish me luck =D
DeleteSounds fun! Good luck!
DeleteHi Jessica, I too just came across this post, and love the album and the tutorial. I am hoping to do one with some of my summer stash, but have a question for you. What do you do with the open ends of the bags? Do you seal them? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Celesa, Sorry for just getting back to you. Sometimes I seal the open ends, and sometimes I use them as pockets for extra tags, pictures, or journaling. This is an example of one I completed and used the pockets (you can scroll to the left and the right to see the rest of the album).
DeleteJust made this
ReplyDeletethank you
