owl swap

I am really into the current owl craze, so I am really happy to have participated in Apryl's Owl Swap at Meridian Ariel. My sweet and crafty partner Nikki at Whimsy Love sent me a lovely package: Nikki sent me some plush owlies that can be found in her etsy shop, a cookie jar mix with an owl tag, an owl pin, a felt owl pencil topper, and tons of beautiful ephemera.
This was some of the ephemera that I picked out that inspired me instantly:

... and here is all of the ephemera in a mini-mosaic:
Thank you so much Nikki!

This is what I put together for Nikki. (She did a super sweet post on what I sent her, but really, I want you to head over to her blog to check out this post on the heart-shaped pancakes she made for Valentine's breakfast.)
AnyWHOO (okay, I'll stop), here it is all wrapped up right before it headed to her house:
I altered a wooden drawer chest for her. I stuck some of her package goodies in the drawers. (Like her owlie tags, vintage flashcards, Resse's chocolate hearts, sour smartees, colorful buttons, and the funky plush owl I made):In her package, I also included a journal I made for her, some coin roll tags, an owl acrylic stamp set, some vintage trims with an owlie charm, and a mug from Target. Here is the entire package together:
Sign me up for next year's owl swap!
