flirty valentine's day chunky paper bag scrapbook album

I am participating in several Valentine's Day swaps this year as Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday.
I am participating in Trish's Romancing the Charm Swap, Heather's Valentine's Day Card Swap, Priscila's Vintage Valentine Swap, Heidi's Very Vintage Valentine Swap, and I recently joined Kari's All that I love Swap. She is hosting this swap on her blog A Year of Color. Look here for more details.

But today I wanted to share a paper bag album I made for Valentine's Day.This album was inspired by the corset fabric. Besides the corset fabric, I also used music sheet fabric. I have an old French lesson book that I tore pages out to use in this book.
Some fun embellishments include: fibers, silk flowers, brads, charms, grubby tags,
paper clips, lace, and beads.I used vintage black and white pictures (which are reproductions).
I slipped lots of tags in the pockets of the album.

One of my favorite features about this album was the clasp on the envelope:

This is the final layout:

This is the back cover of the album.

One of my favorites!

  9. This is adorable! Well, adorable isn't quite the word because it actually looks more sophisticated than adorable, but then, after all it is a PAPER BAG album and how sophisticated are paper bags? I mean, isn't a paper bag used to explain someone's lower intelligence with the use of the phrase "they couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag", for instance? Yet, you have taken this to new oxymoronical heights! It's sophisticated looking and yet, it's a PAPER BAG! I'm repeating myself, aren't I? It's gorgeous, honey! Didn't you used to have some photos from this on your header? I really liked that header!!! I like your new one, too because it explains the title of your blog, ya know? LOL!

...whew... that was a LONG one!
