another paper bag scrapbook album

After spotting an assortment of beads at my local craft store in the colors black, white, and turquoise, I was inspired to create an album in this color scheme. I've been working on this album for quite some time now, and I am happy that I am now ready to sell it on eBay. The listing for this album is here. [The album sold.]

I truly enjoyed working with crocheted flowers as I've never worked with them before. Paper and silk flowers, yes, but not crocheted. My mom was kind enough to make them for me. I stitched throughout this album, which I think makes it look warm- almost like a quilt.

I added my favorite embellishments: charms, lockets, buttons, vintage like keys, etc. I included vintage pictures (copies), so that the buyer would see how their pictures would look in the album. I used mostly pictures of couples. It felt like such a romantic book. The book might work well as a wedding keepsake.

Of all the albums I've made, this one is a favorite. I love the color scheme.

See more of my paper bag albums here. If you're interested in making your own paper bag album, I have tutorials here and here.

  1. Stunning!! I have never seen such a beautiful paper bag book! You can't even tell it is made out of a paper bag. You are so talented!

    I'm jealous!

  2. This is amazing. You must do your minipage then stick it on the paperbag page. I have made a couple for my kids but feel like I haven't quite mastered it. I love love love the colors and details.

  3. OH WOW!!! That is beautiful, fun and funky all at the same time. Those crocheted flowers are so cute! What a fun mix of mediums! You are so incredibly talented, Jessica. How nice of your Mom to make those for you!
